Final Update

Due to time constraints, I wasn't able to fully flesh out my idea. Instead, I implemented a clicker mechanic to my Tamagotchi-inspired game. While the pet still needs to be given food, water, and love, the amount it needs decreases faster the more you click each button. The pet will still die if it's not properly cared for, but you can see how long you can keep it alive using the stopwatch at the top of the screen. The player can challenge their friends to see who can support their pets the longest!

While I'm happy with the way my game turned out, I hope that in the future I can return to this game and complete it the way I intended.

I recolored and used inspiration from assets created by Ansimuz, whose Itch page is below. The pink sunset background was originally created by an unknown artist, which I also linked below, but I edited it a bit. The pet is my pixel rendition of Kitsune, an NPC in Blizzard's Overwatch 2. The rest of the artwork within my game, however, is original.
